Welcome to Upperby Primary School.

Through our website, we hope to give you a flavour of life at our school and an insight into our values, curriculum and the strong sense of community that lies at the heart of everything we do.

At Upperby, we are proud to be a happy, inclusive and ambitious mixed-form entry school where every child is known, valued and encouraged to achieve their full potential. With approximately 340 pupils on roll, our mixed-form organisation provides children with opportunities to build relationships across classes, learn from a wide range of peers and develop the social skills needed to thrive in modern society. We combine high expectations with a nurturing approach, ensuring that children feel safe, supported and confident in their learning.

Our dedicated and experienced staff work tirelessly to create a stimulating and engaging environment where children develop a love of learning, build positive relationships and grow into resilient, respectful and responsible young people. While academic achievement is important, we are equally committed to developing children's confidence, aspirations and wellbeing, helping them to flourish both within and beyond the classroom.

Our school motto, Aspire, Attend, Achieve, captures the values we promote every day. We encourage our pupils to aim high, make the most of every opportunity and take pride in their achievements. Through a rich and engaging curriculum, alongside a wide range of enrichment opportunities, we inspire children to discover their talents and interests. From choir and music tuition to educational visits, visitors and residential experiences, we aim to create memorable learning opportunities that broaden horizons and raise aspirations.
