Week beginning 13/6/20
THE FINAL WEEK!
It is hard to believe it but this is our last week before we officially start our summer break! This will be especially strange for the children who have not been into school at all since we went into lock down.
We have left the games from last week and the week before that on Studyladder. If you have not finished these, please try and use some time this week to complete these.
There is a PHUNKY FOODS folder on the home learning page with lots of healthy food, fitness and mind work. There are 12 sessions/packs, so a great time to start in the summer holidays!
We are very proud of all of you whether you have been in school or have done all your learning at home. We hope you have a super summer holiday and we are really looking forward to seeing you back in class in September.
Take care of each other, be good and stay safe!
Love from Mrs Rothery and Mrs Lawson.
Week Beginning 6th July 2020

Please send us pictures of your home learning to the homework email address and your pictures will be added to the gallery too.
This week we also have photos from Harry and Archie Theobald too!

We both miss you all very much and look forward to seeing you all again soon.
We have also been busy looking after our dogs. Mrs Lawson has had Jasper out for long walks and Mrs Rothery has been enjoying lots of cuddles with Poppy.
Hello Year 2

We are really pleased to see that so many of you have been working hard on your Study ladder activities. Well done!
There will be a whole new set of activities set each week for you to complete. Also, here are some other activities to keep you busy.
Be good, we miss you all and hope to see you again soon.
**************** IMPORTANT MESSAGE ***********************
We have moved to a learning programme called 'Study Ladder' as of Monday (20.4.20). You should have got some information sent to you about this and your child's login details. We are setting daily activities for the whole week, that are a mix of Maths, reading, phonics/spelling and either an art, music, science or ICT based activity to complete every day (some are two activities if one is a video tutorial). When your child logs on, if the activities don't come up automatically, click on the yellow button- My Indiviudal Programme. Here you should find the activities for each day that week. The activities don't show up in order for some reason but please try to do them in the correct order (Week 1 Day 1 first). We can see when your child has been on and completed activities (well done to those who have already logged on) and we'll be sending messages to them over the weeks about their activities. Please only access the activities between Monday-Friday, 8.30am-4.30pm.
You can still use the website for ideas and the timetable if they have finished the Study Ladder tasks and want some extra bits.
Hope this makes sense and get in touch if there are any problems.
PhunkyFoods are releasing home learning packs EVERY WEEK to print or to use as inspiration.
Each pack contains:
Week 2 home learning pack is available to download below (week 1 was Easter themed). The packs in the weeks to come will be available to download from their website: https://www.phunkyfoods.co.uk/home-learning-worksheets/
Each day you should aim to complete at least one activity from the pack that was sent home with your child. We will add other activities to this page for the children to do.
There are lots of online activities available and we will be adding links to these.
The most important thing you can do to help your child is to read lots. Snuggle up on the couch and share lots of stories.

Daily stories read by David Walliams
You will need a dice, a pencil and a piece of paper.
Use the chart below to decide on a character, a setting and a time for your story. Remember to make it exciting by using adjectives, different sentences openers and conjunctions (and, but, because, when, if...)
Try to write it in your best handwriting and don't forget to use capital letters, full stops, exclamation marks and question marks.
Have fun and when you have finished, read your story to a family member.
If you have Lego or any other construction kits at home, take the daily challenge!
