Good morning everyone! Have you had a good weekend? We have been very busy cooking and baking this weekend.
This week starts with a food story, Oliver's Vegetables. You can use the link below to listen to the story on YouTube, this week also features Kitchen Disco which we read in a previous week. I have added links to some super fruit and vegetables songs for you.
We are using Oliver's Vegetables to explore creating circular patterns, grouping and labelling objects, addition stories, doubling and measuring.

I am sure most of you will be outside enjoying the beautiful weather today - don’t forget your sun cream! However if it gets too hot and you need a break there are some lovely rainbow activities on EYFS Home today. You can make your own rainbow using objects from around your house and learn how to say colour names using Makaton.

EYFS Home are making magic potions today! The perfect activity to go with our Princess Mirror Belle activities this week.
Good morning and welcome back! I hope you have all had a good weekend and managed to get out in the sunshine. We have been out in our bikes this weekend and played swing ball in the garden.
So this weeks maths story is Princess Mirror Belle and the Dragon Pox - do you know this story? You can find it here on YouTube.
This week we are exploring 3D shape, spotting mistakes in patterns, adding using ten frames, ordering events and numbers on a number line, making doubles, pairs and exploring capacity. The link below will take you to all of this weeks activities.
Healthy Me is the theme on EYFS home today.
There is a poem and story for you to enjoy as well as some healthy food activities. You do not need to join with the activities at the time listed, they are stored on the website so you can join in anytime!

This week we are reading The Princess and the Wizard. You can find the story on YouTube if you do not have it at home. Our maths activities include learning the days of the week, if you already know them you can work on learning the months of the year. We will also be designing costumes using shapes and patterns, halving, symmetry and creating our own magic potions!

Hello everyone - we are back! Week 11, wow I can't quite believe it! I hope you have all had a fabulous half term and are ready to get started on a new week of maths activities.
This week we are reading The Snail and the Whale, if you click on the link below you will find our very own Mr Stokes reading it for you!
We start the week by exploring complex patterns. There are lots of activities to support the development of fine motor skills this week - cutting, spreading and using cotton buds to make patterns. You will create your own addition stories using first, then and now, record using tally marks, recognising odd and even numbers and develop your positional language.

Hi everyone! This week on the Youtube Ruth Miskin channel, Rosie has begun teaching the Tricky Red Words ( Red Words 1 ). Each lesson is available for 24 hours and then she moves on to the next words...Watch each day to get them all!
You can get the videos for Set 1 and 2 here...don't forget that Rosie now does a Set 2 reading and spelling video for each sound...lots of parents have enjoyed watching them with their children and learning what to do at the same time!
Ruth and Rosie are beginning again with each Set right from the start, from today....

Hello everyone, how are you all today?
This week is SUPERWORM week! There are lots of Maths activities for you to explore on White Rose Maths and there some extra activities that we have added for you. This week we are continuing our pattern work - looking at completing more complex patterns, comparing lengths of wiggly worms, ordering numbers and making your own minibeast supermarket to explore money. There is even a rain dance activity, although with the weather today I am not sure you will need it! Good morning everyone, how are we all this morning? I hope you have all had a great weekend and are ready for another action packed week of activities!
This week is all about spider stories, if you don't have the featured stories at home you will find versions of them on YouTube but any story you have about spiders will help to support the theme. These slides give you a taster of this week but please go to White Rose Maths to access the rest of the week.
This week we have a big focus on developing our mathematical language and the vocabulary used in addition and subtraction. We are comparing sets of objects using 'more' and 'fewer', and exploring doubling and halving.

White Rose have also included a very useful guide to show how the activities link in to child development at different stages. This can be found on the last page of each day and is definitely worth a read.

Read Write Inc - New Sessions
If you go to the Ruth Miskin Youtube site, you will see new daily videos for spelling and reading sessions; start with Set 1 sounds but if you have been accessing the Set 2 speed sounds and your child is familiar with those, why not give the Set 2 sessions a go?
They are also featuring " Storytime with Nick" with 3 new stories each week for you can watch...some stories you may already know and some that will be new to you! Enjoy!

Hello and welcome to another week of Maths activities for you to enjoy at home!
We are continuing to work through some of the White Rose Easter Maths activities, we will be back to story based Maths next week.
It is really important to keep your little Sunbeams and Rainbows counting as much as you can, so this week we have included some clips and songs for your to join in with at home. Practice counting forwards to 10, then 20. Counting down from a number can be tricky, so start with counting back from 10, then 20.
Once they have mastered this, why not have a go at counting in 2s and 10s! There are lots of action songs available on YouTube to help you.
This link will take you to BBC bitesize where you will find some counting to 10 and 20 songs and a number ordering game. Click on Primary, Northern Ireland - foundation stage.
We love Counting with Rodd in Reception. Follow this link to find lots of exciting clips to support different maths skills.

Have you checked out the all new 'Speed Sound' slideshows on the Oxford Owl website yet? Easy to access, they are great for whizzing through the Speed Sounds that your children already know and even for having a go at some of the new ones on the next level.
Remember to check on the Tapestry website for the weekly book or ditty and any other activities which are being levelled specifically to each child's ability.
Speedy Green Words slideshows
There are also some new slideshows featuring the Speedy-read Green Words - these are words that, ideally, your child will begin to recognise and read without having to sound them out each time. The slideshows are in three different levels, linked to the colour of ditty or storybooks your child is reading. We will also post these on your child's individual Tapestry page so that you know which one to practise.

We have chosen to carry on the theme of 'What the Ladybird Heard' by Julia Donaldson from the White Rose Maths activities.
Read Write Inc Phonics
This week, we would like you to go to the Oxford Owl at home website and create your own login.
On this site, you will have access to a range of phonics and reading activities that will support your child to continue with the fantastic progress they have already been making with their reading and writing.
To start, we suggest that you watch the Parent Guide videos, which give you a very clear idea of what we do in school and how you can continue this at home.
You can download and print off the Speed Sounds practise sheets for Set 1 & 2 sounds.
You can also access free ebooks to read with your child and these are aimed at your child's individual level of ability. Each week we would like you to read one of these books with your child and we will let you know which one via your Tapestry account as they will vary from child to child.
Dont forget....keep checking your Tapestry account to find on your book for the week and post a photo or short video to let us see how you are getting on!
