Re: Arrangements for priority childcare in UPPERBY PRIMARY SCHOOL
Further to the letter from Dan Barton at Cumbria County Council regarding the situation with Covid-19, I am writing to advise you of the arrangements for UPPERBY PRIMARY SCHOOL.
I can confirm that UPPERBY PRIMARY SCHOOL will be open from 9.00 until 3.15pm in order to provide priority childcare for parents who have been identified as key workers, and who cannot make any other arrangements for childcare. Due to staffing we are not currently able to offer breakfast and afterschool club at present and will keep parents up to date on this. Children need to bring a packed lunch including a drink for Monday. Once we have more clarity we will we make provision relating to needs.
PLEASE ONLY BRING YOUR CHILD TO SCHOOL IF YOU ARE A KEY WORKER AND CANNOT FIND ALTERNATIVE CHILDCARE. PLEASE ENSURE YOU BRING PROOF OF EMPLOYMENT WHEN YOU REGISTER YOUR CHILD ON MONDAY. THIS CHILDCARE IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR PARENTS WHO ARE WORKING FROM HOME AND CAN SUPERVISE THEIR CHILDREN AT HOME. NO CHILDCARE IS AVAILABLE FOR ANY OTHER CHILDREN.
ALL PARENTS ARE TO BRING THE CHILDREN TO THE INFANT PLAYGROUND – PLEASE ENSURE YOU FOLLOW SOCIAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES WHEN QUEUING TO REGISTER YOUR CHILD – we have provided hoops to support this. To speed up the process please register your child via our firstname.lastname@example.org Subject title: Childcare provision. Please leave your child(ren)’s name, your name, your employers name and address and the category you fall in for a key worker.
With thanks in advance for your support and patience in this unprecedented and difficult situation.
