James and Thomas have been hard at the work again, completing their Studyladder work. 

A big well done to them both and younger brother Charlie for their hard work since March.  We look forward to seeing you all again in September.  πŸ‘β­πŸŒˆ

J and L (from Years 4 & 2) have continued to lots of fun this week completing their 'Weekly 10' activities as well as making thank you cards for their teachers.  They have been on some lovely walks, spent the day in Silloth and camped in their back garden.  It looks like they've had a great time!  πŸ‘πŸ•βœοΈ

This weekend L (Year 3) and C (Reception) have been to Chester to see the Roman fort and Housesteads Roman fort.  They both really enjoyed walking around the forts and learning a little bit about the Romans.  They learned about Roman bathhouses, toilets and their underfloor heating systems.  What a wonderful experience!  β­πŸ›πŸ‘

Another fun-filled week for J and L!  Mum has sent lots of pictures through showing us the activities they have carried out.  J and L always complete their 10 weekly activities which is lovely to see.  Well done to them both for their continued hard work!  β­πŸ‘βœοΈ

Thomas from Year 4 has been working ever so hard today, completing his Studyladder tasks.

Thomas must have been enjoying himself, as his younger brother Charlie then wanted to have a go at some of the work too!  Well done to you both!  β­πŸ‘βœοΈ

A, H and L went on a little outing last week at Stock Woods.  They had a fantastic time even in the rain.  They made camp fires, toasted marshmallows, played games and went crabbing.  On another day they also attempted to fly kites.  What great fun!  πŸ”₯πŸ¦€πŸ˜€

K from year 3 has been busy making, designing and decorating a clay pot!  When it was finished it he very kindly gave it to his friend and her mum to say thank you for all the yummy treats they’ve baked for him throughout lock down.  How thoughtful!  πŸ‘β€οΈ

O (Year 3) and M (Year 2) have been on lots of adventures and bike rides with their little sister when the weather has been nice and not so nice.  They have been to the river, Blackpool, Allonby and have played in the rain (which they normally wouldn’t be allowed to do)!  Lovely to be able to get out and about!    🌞🌊

L from Year 5 has completed one of his weekly 10 activities.  He has given the 'bubble sock' challenge a so and set up an investigation to see what worked best.  Using the same pair of socks and bottle but changing the solution of good old fashioned washing up liquid and water vs shop bought solution to see which works best.  The results showed how old-fashioned is best!  He is now going to try different sock fabrics and bottle sizes.  What a super experiment - well done!  πŸ‘πŸ§¦β­

Jack (from Year 5) has created a PowerPoint presentation all about Space - his favourite topic!  Some super computing skills and some fascinating facts!  Well done Jack!  πŸŒšπŸ”­πŸ›Έ

This week L and J have enjoyed the lovely sunny weather.  They walked all the way from Currock to Kingstown to visit family and the boys got to test out Auntie Debbie's new hot tub.  They have completed their 10 weekly activities and had lots of fun learning sign language.  J was thrilled to do more work on Henry VIII.  He has already completed work on Bitesize about it, so was thrilled to do more on Oak Academy.  We look how these two tackle their weekly 10 activities each week!  Fantastic to see!  πŸ‘‘β­ 

L and J have been learning how to say the alphabet using sign language this week as part of the Year 4 weekly 10.  β­β€οΈ

Thomas has continued to work really hard.  He has sent us some of his Studyladder work and a picture of the sunflowers that the family are growing in their garden.  Well done!  πŸŒ»β­

L, C and J have printed off and coloured in their certificates for completing PE with Joe Wickes.  They have took part every morning since lockdown began.  What a great achievement - well done!  β­πŸ…πŸ€Έ‍♂️

​L and C have both planted their own pizza herbs - basil, oregano and thyme.  They have their fingers crossed that they grow!

L has continued to work hard on Studyladder and Purple Mash. He has also been doing an extra maths workbook which he’s really enjoying. C is reading and writing sentences and also doing a maths work book.

At the weekend they went for a walk around Lowther Castle and gardens. L managed to find (and try out) a Roman bath. They both enjoyed wandering through the woods and then racing on the big green lawns back to the castle. They were amazed at how big the castle was.  What a beautiful place!  πŸ°πŸŽ΄β­

L from Camelot has had lots of fun again this week completing his 10 weekly activities again!  He has been going for some lovely walks and he also spent some of his birthday and Easter money - look at all those goodies!  L has been painting pebbles as part of his older brother's weekly 10 and made a Captain America shield.  He has made some Father's Day cards for his Dad, Gaga and Grandad.  He loved going to see them finally when he went to drop them off.  He also attended book swap on Thursday and enjoyed seeing Mrs Rothery again.  A super week - well done!  πŸ‘πŸƒ‍β™‚οΈπŸ¦‰

Another fabulous week for J from Te-fiti!  He has enjoyed his 10 weekly activities again and has been on some lovely walks.  He has been making Fathers Day cards for Dad, Gaga and Grandad and he loved  going to see them to drop them off.  He picked Kung Fu Panda as his movie to watch.  His cress has almost grown so a few more days and he can make some egg and cress sandwiches.  Mum tells me that J has been so brilliant throughout lockdown, so he got to spend his birthday and Easter money.  What a super week!  πŸ₯šπŸšΆ‍♂️⭐

M from Year 2 and G from Year 4 have been busy.  M has created a super owl mask and G has created some fantastic gem art.  Well done to you both!  πŸŽ¨πŸ¦‰β­

M from Year 4 and H from Nursery have had another busy week! 

M made sausage rolls and noodles for tea, as well as researching and creating her own model rainforest!  The whole family enjoyed leaf rubbings and playing bingo together too.  M has been looking at fractions using sweets, and they both loved having the Playmobil zoo out!  M has again been doing study ladder, TTRS and Spelling Shed.  Keep up the fantastic work!  

H has enjoyed being outside and making a We’re Going On A Hippo Hunt book!  Hasn't he done a fantastic job!  

Mum tells me that their highlight each week is definitely book swap on a Thursday!  This is one of our favourite times of the week too!  πŸŒ΄β€οΈπŸ“š

L from Year 2, has had lots of fun again completing his 10 weekly activities.  He really enjoyed making cheese and mushroom omelettes, going on walks (when it wasn't raining) and he was so excited on Thursday when we went to book swap and saw his teacher Mrs Rothery!  Just lovely!  πŸ₯šβ­πŸ“š

J from Year 4 has had lots of fun this week doing his 10 weekly activities.  He enjoyed making omelettes and beans on toast.  He has been for walks on days when it wasn't raining and he's worked so hard on his rainforest project (which took him all week to do).  What an excellent job!  πŸ₯šπŸŒ΄

He wrote a lovely letter to his grandad - which I am sure he loved and has been super helpful around the house!  What a super star!  β­β€οΈ

N from Year 3 has been busy with Studyladder and working through some work books practising his times tables and his English skills.  He has also been doing lots of reading.  Lovely to hear - keep up the good work!  πŸ“–β­

Last week he met up with some family that they hadn't seen since Christmas at Gibside.  It looks like they had a great time!

L (Year 3) and C (reception) went for a walk up the fells at their great grandparents' farm at the weekend.  They made it to the very top and enjoyed the views of Skiddaw and the Solway Coast and over towards Scotland.  They were also pleased to see their great grandparents for a socially distanced hello.  πŸ–β€οΈ

Afterwards they came home and made pizza wraps for tea - their favourite! 

Sounds like a fabulous day!  πŸ•β­

M from Year 4 has enjoyed TTRS and spelling shed all last week, as well as doing Studyladder each day. 

She has been busy working through her Weekly Ten and the 30 Days Wild too. 

She made some self-portraits, sketches of outside and drew places she wanted to visit (her friend's house).  She made a smoothie, researched rainforests, tidied out old toys, made nature pictures and outfits and had an egg and spoon race!  What a busy week they had!   Well done!  πŸŽ¨πŸ–ŒπŸŒ΄β­

J from Year 2 has continued to practice his writing and has continued to improve!  He started to learn about plants a few weeks ago and this is a picture of the plant he seeded and watered.  He had a great 7th birthday and but is missing his friends more and more.

This week, C from reception, has made some swirly snail pastry snacks to go with their Snail and the Whale theme.  He also made and cut out some spiral patterns.  They are fantastic!  πŸŒβ­ 

Older brother L (from Year 3) has been hard at work on Studyladder and Purple Mash.  He also enjoyed watching the SpaceX launch and they managed to spot it in the sky afterwards.  Well done - I bet that was great to see!  β˜„πŸ”­πŸŒ–

J from Year 4 has really enjoyed completing his 10 activities this week. 

They had an egg and spoon race, then thought it was great that they got to eat the chocolate egg afterwards!  J also helped wash and brush his dog Bronson.  Well done!   πŸ₯šπŸŽ΅β­

The T family (from Year 2 & nursery) came to book swap yesterday and loved seeing their teachers at school.  How lovely to see them walking hand-in-hand sensibly together.  They made wraps for lunch and then got reading together.  Well done!  πŸ“šπŸ₯™β­

M (from Year 2) has been missing school but has been enjoying completing activities on Studyladder and from her year group page.  She moved house just before lockdown and decorated her room into a 3D tree - doesn't it look lovely!  πŸƒπŸ›Œ

She has written letters for Mrs Rothery and Miss Ferguson - they will be delighted!

Thomas has sent through some of his work from Studyladder, that he couldn't do on the computer.  Some artwork and some instructions about how to wash a dog.  Well done - I love seeing all of the work that you are doing!  πŸΆβ­

A (Year 3) made her own mince and carrot pies this week, it was her first attempt at shortcrust pastry. Mum told us that they were delicious!  She also made everyone’s lunch today, butterflies and paw prints made from baguettes, cheese and grapes.  Yum!
T (Year 1) was happy to get his platinum certificate on Studyladder earlier in the week too.

I (Year 3) and S (Year 6) made cakes and small flags with their younger sister from paper and tooth picks and delivered them to neighbours.  They also decorated the front window of their house.  Didn't they do a good job!  🍰 yes

Here are our busy bees again!  yes

L (Year 3) and C (reception) have also been doing quizzes that their grandad emails for them.  L had to turn binary numbers into decimal and then into letters to decode a message.  C had to fill in missing numbers on odd and even number lines, he even spotted a mistake that his grandad had made! 

They’ve also both been practising their handwriting. L hopes to improve and earn his pen license while he’s off school.  Keep going both of you - you are doing a super job!  β­πŸ“βœ

L (Year 3) and C (reception) made a treasure map.  C helped mum draw and colour the map and L wrote the directions.  They then went and hid the treasure in their nana and grandad's back garden and posted the treasure map through their front door.  The boys had fun tea-staining the paper to make it look old.  And their nana and grandad enjoyed the brownie we hid for them.  How lovely! πŸ˜ŠπŸ”β­

M (Year 4) and H (reception) enjoyed celebrating VE Day and H made a chocolate cake using a WW2 recipe.  M has been working through her weekly 10 and enjoying doing some craft activities.  They made origami bracelets (very impressive) and have watched live feeds of zoos.  They have also hatched butterflies - very exciting!  πŸ¦‹πŸΌπŸŽ

Looks who's been having a lovely time at home!  They've had a lovely walk around Kingmoor Woods and a good pamper at mammy T's salon.  It looks like they celebrated VE Day in style.  They've been practising their basketball and guitar skills too!  πŸ€πŸŽΈsmiley

B (from Year 4) has been pond dipping and is going to identify what they have found later today.  She was fascinated by the moorhen chicks.  She have made kites and flown them.  At the weekend she went to drop something off at her great grandma's house (who lives near the sea) and did some exploring on a quiet part of the beach whilst the tide was out.  They found star fish eggs and thought about what might have been leaving all the crab bodies all over the rocks.  They thought seagulls, what do you think?  πŸ¦€

Charlie (Year 3) has been writing all about Giraffes.  I am very impressed that he has planned before writing - just like we do in school.  A great piece of writing and a super drawing!  βœπŸ‘

A (from Year 3) has been busy with lots of activities including: walking and cycling, sewing, making a Piñata from recycling, making finger print thank you cards, building Lego kits and making bunting and baking scones for VE day.  She also celebrated her 8th birthday and had a lovely day playing games and eating cake!!  Happy belated birthday!  πŸ°πŸŽˆπŸŽ

O (Year 4) and J (Year 2) celebrated VE Day in their cub and beaver uniforms and clapped for all key workers.  They have been getting lots of exercise in their garden.  They are missing everyone at school, but love getting their phone calls from Miss Ion and Mrs Lawson.  πŸ‘πŸ“žheart

L (from Year 2) has been very busy completing his weekly 10 activities off the Year 2 page.  I am told he really enjoyed making cookies and a cup of tea for mum, making a shop and money, drawing, making a VE poster and writing about VE day and making a butterfly feeder.  He really enjoyed doing Bitesize lessons, and doing his poem.  Fantastic work!  πŸ¦‹πŸ₯€πŸ˜Š

J (from Year 4) has had a busy week.  He's been listening to Puffin books, has baked cookies and has made a newspaper.  He's also really enjoyed the London Zoo tour.  Well done!  yes

​L (Year 3) and C's (reception) uncle is a police officer.  He posted sheets through their door for them to colour in.  L has been doing his Studyladder all week as well as working through the work book off the Year 3 class page, he has played on Purple Mash and also Hit the Button. 

C has been reading Dragon Bay and writing about the story.  He’s also been on scraps phonics and Hit the Button.  Keep up the good work.   

They are both missing all their friends and teachers.  I am sure all of your friends are missing you too boys, all of your teachers certainly are!    yesheart

Some lovely pictures have been sent through from J (in Year 4) and L (in Year 2) showing what they got up to last week.  L went on a mini-beast hunt.  He created a map and wrote all about them.  J made a parachute, cracked some morse code and wrote about how to make a homemade pizza.  He also wrote about Brazil, made a booklet and a medal of honour.   

The family completed a 2 minutes silence together on their front door step, had a BBQ to celebrate VE day and ate what looks like a delicious cake.  heart

​L from Year 3 wanted to make a frog from a toilet roll holder, as he’d seen someone make one on the TV. Younger brother C from reception, decided to make a minion.  Both had a little help from dad.  How lovely! 😊

A and I from Year 5 were very busy on VE DAY decorating the house with buntings and baking...

11am - 2mins silence.. 3pm Winston Churchill speech followed by afternoon tea and songs by Vera Lynn finished off with the Queens speech at 9pm.  What a wonderful spread and great way to celebrate 75 years on.  heart

E from Year 4 sent photos in showing how she celebrated and remembered on VE Day.  What a lovely looking afternoon tea!  Loving the coordinated outfits too!  Well done. yes

Lucas (Year 3) and younger brother C (Reception) have been learning all about space today after Miss Henry sent a quiz for them to do.  Miss Davidson sent them a link for a book all about space and planets and they did some research themselves and they decided to design their own planets.  Lucas’s is called 2048 and is made of rainbows, bubbles and binary numbers (which he’s been learning about this week) and is hotter then the sun at a million degrees.  C's is called Chip and is just past Pluto, it is very cold, made of gas and is -250 degrees brrr!  Wow - super home-learning boys!  ⭐yes

M (from Year 4) has been busy this week doing her activities on VE Day. 

She really enjoyed a morse code and rationing worksheet, and today she explored paratroopers and parachutes.  She discovered that size does affect the speed and effectiveness of parachutes.  Her toy cow moo seemed to have fun too!  So lovely to see - well done!  πŸ›«β­

Last week and this week J (from Year 4) has been very busy celebrating his little brother's birthday, making Captain Tom a card, playing board games,  doing Studyladder, Times Table Rock Stars, Spelling Shed and writing about South America.  He's really enjoying all the activities this week for VE day.  Their wall is all ready for tomorrow.  Great to see lots of your weekly 10 activities being done!

L's mum has sent lots of pictures through showing what he has been doing over the last two weeks.  He is playing board games, celebrating his little brother's birthday, doing Studyladder, Spelling Shed, Times Table Rock Star, reading, has made a birthday card for Captain Tom, has coloured his Avengers book, in went on a bug hunt and wrote about them.  He has also wrote a letter to Mrs Rothery - she will be so impressed!  πŸ‘ β­βœ

B (from Reception) has been practising spelling 'red' words and has enjoyed listening to the Hungry Caterpillar story.
