Homework
Homework is handed out on a Friday and is expected back on a Thursday. If your child needs support, they should ask for it at the beginning of the week. It is expected that the children have a go at all of the questions.
They should be reading at home at least 4 times a week (ideally at least once to an adult).
They should be practising weekly spellings on Spelling Shed.
They should be practising times tables on TTRS.
We have been enjoying our music lessons!!! We have been learning about the different types of notes and how many beats they are worth. We have been copying some 8-beat rhythmic patterns and doing some question and answer rhythmic patterns. We have also been learning about the song 'Happy' by Pharrell Williams.
We have been copying rhythmic patterns on the glockenspiels and xylophones and copied some 8-beat rhythms back using two different notes.
Year 6 have had a lot of fun this half term! We have used our skills to make poppies and Christmas decorations. We've practised lots of different types of stitches and tried to apply them to our products.
We created a lovely poppy wreath for Rememberance Day.
We have created Christmas tree decorations too.
