In a fairly even game, Norman Street narrowly came out on top. Ellis kept us in the game with some good saves from Norman Street shots. Riley, Marcus and Reece had some good chances in the game but didn't manage to convert them. Jake, Jack, Leo and Robert all put in some extremely important tackles in defence. Jack S controlled the midfield at times and added some quality to the play. A thumping strike into the top corner in the second half settled the game and gave Norman Street all 3 points. Mr Codd was extremely proud of all the players who more than matched a very good team.
Player of the Match: Reece Irwin
In a difficult game, the Upperby team didn't stop trying to follow the instructions they had been given. Every player put in 100% effort to battle with a very strong St Margaret Mary's side. Mr Codd was extremely proud of the second half performance from everyone.
On Thursday 15th November, a team of 8 boys played out an exciting 1-0 win over Pennine Way School. Both teams played at a fast pace with plenty of dribbling 1 v 1 and some good passing. A special mention has to go to Pennine Way's goalkeeper who pulled off two very good saves. Alfie opened the scoring in the first half and Ellis made a very important save right at the end to preserve the lead. A good performance as a practise for the EFL cup next week.
On Thursday 15th November, a team of 10 girls played in fast paced 10-8 victory against Pennine Way girls. They were so excited to have a match and represented the school well.
