Hello everyone! Thank you to everyone who got in touch to update their hours from during the school closure. The hours have been submitted and we should have some new certificates to award in the new year.
A huge well done to everyone for their efforts during this very different and difficult year - the totals you submitted were incredible!
Here are some new ideas to keep you busy during the December holiday. Don’t forget to record your activities by taking a photograph, making a video or writing a little account of what you have done. You can send these to the school email address for the attention of Miss Henry.
Please find below the October Newsletter full of ideas for you to enjoy this half term.
I know lots of our children have continued with Children's University activities during the school closure and over the summer. Hopefully your child has managed to get back to some of their out of school activities since the restriction's lifted slightly.
In a change to the normal format I would like to ask grown ups to count the new hours in your child's passport.
Please look for the last time that I updated your passport (it is usually marked in pencil with a line drawn across), then add together all of the new additional hours recorded since then, draw a line under the last entry, write the date and the total amount of new hours.
Please do not add the whole passport hours together or add the new hours to a previous total - I have a log of all of the hours and just need the new hours to add to the running total.
Could you then please email the additional hours to email@example.com for the attention of Miss Henry by Monday 2nd November 2020.
The children had a wonderful time visiting Carlisle College this month!
All of the children we exceptionally well behaved and a credit to the school.
During our visit we had the opportunity to take part in a variety of different activities from working in the kitchens making fresh pizza, painting nails in the beauty department, mini explosions in the science lab and making plaster cast decorations. The children were able to get some real hands on experience of different skills, trades and careers. The college staff went above and beyond to make sure the children had a wonderful day.
A huge well done to all of the children who attended this years Children's University Graduation at Carlisle Cathedral. I would also like to thank all of the friends and family who came out to support the children on this special occasion.
Here is a sneak peak at some of the photographs taken on the day!
