The School Day

 

The school day at Upperby Primary School is from 8.55am until 3.15pm.

 

The Nursery is split into two session. The morning session runs 8.45am until 11.45am and the afternoon session is from 12.30pm until 3.30pm.

 

Foundation Stage 

The children start at 8.55am, the doors open slightly earlier at 8.50am to allow for parents to bring the children into the unit.  The children has access to the outdoor classroom during the morning and do not have a formal break time.

The children have lunch at 11.50am until 1.00pm, with teaching staff staying with the children in the hall until 12.00 noon.

The afternoon session is 1.00pm - 3.15pm.

 

KS 1 (Year 1 and 2)

The children start at 8.55am, the cloakroom doors open at 8.50am to allow the children to come into school and settle.  Morning break is at 10.30 - 10.45am.

The children have lunch from 12.00 noon until 1.00pm

The afternoon session is 1.00pm - 3.15pm with an afternoon break between 2.30pm- 2.45pm.

 

Lower KS2 (Years 3 and 4)

The children start at 8.55am, the cloakroom doors open at 8.50am.

Morning break is at 10.30 - 10.45am.

The children have lunch from 12.00 noon until 1.00pm.

The afternoon session is 1.00pm until 3.15pm.

 

Upper KS2 (Years 5 and 6)

The children start at 8.55am, the cloakroom doors open at 8.50am.

Morning break is at 10.45 - 11.00am.

The children have lunch from 12.30 noon until 1.30pm.

The afternoon session is 1.30pm until 3.15pm.

 

Assemblies

 

Whole school assembly are on Mondays and Wednesday at 9.10am.

 

On Friday our assembly features our Maths Marathon, with each house challenging for the Maths Marathon trophy.

Class reflection time takes place on Tuesday and Thursday.
