Welcome to Nursery
Our teacher is Mr Stokes. Our teaching assistants are Mrs Reid, Miss McHard, Miss Turnbull and Mrs Purdham.
As the nights get darker, and the days get colder, Autumn is properly here. We will be exploring Autumn in our play in the nursery, and would love to have any signs of Autumn that you and your children might find on your adventures.
So, whether you're walking in the park, or just on your way to school, and you find any conkers, autumnal leaves, acorns or twigs, pop them in a bag and bring them in for us to explore.
Really, the more that you can find, the better- so if you get chance, it would be great if you could take your little people out for a walk this weekend, with a carrier bag, and fill it with loads of autumnal goodies. The children really love throwing sycamore seeds, like the ones in the picture, and watching them spin to the ground- so if you find any of those, that would be amazing.
Hammonds Pond Trip
We are really lucky to have somewhere like Hammonds Pond on our doorstep, and had a lovely time when we visited there. We walked down from nursery, and were treated to a ride on the miniature railway by the fantastic people who run it, before feeding the ducks and having a play on the park.
We had great fun using giant chalks in the outside area today, by the time we'd finished the yard was really colourful, and some of us were a bit messy. Fantastic mark making from the children!
Our first day back!
We came back from our summer holidays, for the first day of term, and had a great time playing on the bikes, climbing, doing some super writing, getting messy with paint, digging in the sand and hula-hooping!
